Argentine military police seize antique

Argentina's military police said on Sunday they had seized a 2,000-year ceramic antique in a routine search of a vehicle in the northern Argentine province of Catamarca.

The artwork was an ocarina -- an eight-holed wind instrument, made of gray-black ceramic, with a figure of a cat on one side and of a bird's head on the other.

Police said the driver could not prove that he had the authority to transport the valuable figure.

The ocarina will be shown at the Eric Borman museum in Catamarca, which is 1,100 km north of the capital city.
